Creams Cafe: Kingston

Creams Cafe in Kingston is one of the most popular social hubs in Kingston. I know so many students who go to Kingston University and Roehampton University who pay a visit all the time. It's a great place for a quick milkshake, or for dessert.

Despite the name being 'Creams Cafe', the atmosphere of the place has more of an American diner feel to it, and feels almost like a day bar/club as it's quite dark inside with sofa booths, with loud music blaring in the background.

As soon as you step into Creams, you'll be directed to your table, which will be numbered. You have to go up to the tills to order your food so you'll need to quote your table number at the till, and then pay.

The food offered is sweet rather than savoury. The variety of waffles and pancakes/crepes offered is unbelievable! You can choose any toppings, from exotic fruits to mouthwatering chocolates and sweets. And the milkshakes are beyond delicious- they can whip you up any flavoured shake in no time. Smoothies are also available.

Here is a photo of the Strawberry and Chocolate Giant Waffle I had (I couldn't finish it all, but the staff were more than happy to offer me a small box to take the rest home with me):

If you're not a waffle/pancake kinda person, you can indulge in a slice of cake. Creams offer lots of different cakes such as Black Forest Gateau, Lemon Cheesecake, Carrot Cake, and Chocolate Fudge Cake.

Just to let you know however, that sometimes Creams can get pretty packed so the staff sometimes ask you to share a booth with other customers. Most people find this to be quite awkward, which is understandable, so they tend to opt for a takeout instead.

The prices at Creams are pretty cheap when compared to the prices of Tinsel Town and TGI Fridays.

Nearest stations: Kingston and Surbiton
